The DuQuoin office
originally opened in the early 1980's and was moved several times before settling
in the current location. This office provided WIC services and Home Health Nursing
to all residents and later added a variety of additional services. In 2003 the
office was closed due to financial hardship. In 2004 Perry County residents approved
a tax referendum to fund a portion of the health department's programs and services.
In the fall of 2005 the DuQuoin office was able to reopen. It is grounded in community
service and educational programs.
| Our staff nurse, SusanCooper,
is often busy in the community giving lectures and providing out of office
services to our homebound patients. Shortly, both DuQuoin and Pinckneyville
offices will begin offering certified laboratory services to our residents
for nominal fees. We look forward to seeing you and appreciate your comments
and concerns. |
