Perry County Health Department is committed to surveillance for West Nile
Virus in the county. This year, our department will do dead bird collection and testing. However, due to lack of funding, our program will not include trapping
of live mosquitoes. Our staff is currently licensed by the Deptartment of Agriculture for Pesticide Application
as of May 2006.
Bird testing has now expanded to include all perching birds. If you are
unsure if the bird you found can be tested for WNV, please check our bird
identification page.
If you have a dead bird for testing, click here
